Currently, Truvada is the medication that is used for PrEP. PrEP can only be prescribed by a healthcare professional and must be taken daily to maximize the full effectiveness of the medication. Today, most insurance/prescription plans will pay for PrEP, but there is help if your insurance does not currently include Truvada.

Here is what I learned regarding recent suicide statistics after reading the article in your link:
“Most notable is the widening gap between urban and rural Americans. Suicide rates in the most rural counties are now nearly double those in the most urban counties.”
Rural health requires special attention.
