The group is held monthly on the last Tuesday at 5:30pm at Villa Maria Behavioral Health, 308 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland, Maryland. All are welcome to attend. Diseases Spread by Humans, Animals and Insects 5 years, 11 months agoI understand the EColi from the romaine lettuce contamination was traced to a farm in Santa Barbara county California. It’s very curious how their contaminated irrigation water source (used for all the crops) only resulted in contamination of the romaine, but not other types of lettuce.

The part of this that is most concerning to me is the possibility that human disease will be transmitted by this tick.

A National Veterinary Services Laboratory test has confirmed the presence of the Haemaphysalis longicornis tick, also known as the East Asian tick, the longhorned tick, and the bush tick, in Maryland.
