PrEP ( HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) 7 years agoCurrently, Truvada is the medication that is used for PrEP. PrEP can only be prescribed by a healthcare professional and must be taken daily to maximize the full effectiveness of the medication. Today, most insurance/prescription plans will pay for PrEP, but there is help if your insurance does not currently include Truvada.
